This is the perfect place to stay in Vienna! The hostel is just a 3-minute walk from the Westbahnhof Train Station (on a quiet side street!) and equidistant between the City Center and beautiful Palace Schoenbrunn. The main shopping street, the Mariahilferstrasse is just around the corner. From here you can either walk to many major sites or hop on the metro or tram just a minute or 2 away.

Some of our many amenities include a new self-service kitchen, a lovely garden complete with barbeque and oversized chess set, lockers, Internet, laundry and musical instruments for your use. We have a brand new bar and serve a delicious local draft beer, wines, juices, and cocktails. We also offer very popular tours that leave right from the hostel: bike and walking tours and an all-day "Grape Grazing/Biking" tour to the Wachau wine-growing region in the Danube Valley.

We can offer you Viennas best-priced beds from dorm beds -both mixed and female only,(using your own sheets or sleeping bags or renting ours) to beds in 2,3,4,5,6 and 8 bedded rooms including linens. Our rooms are very comfortable and cozy. In each room is a sink with hot and cold water. Showers and toilets are just down the hall. We also have several new rooms (doubles, quads, 6 and 8 bed rooms with private showers and toilets!)

Take time to see our wonderful city- full of famous museums, gorgeous architecture, coffee houses, music, etc. Dont miss the new Leopold Museum in the Museum Quarter, with the largest collection of Egon Schiele paintings and other art nouveau artists. Other favorites are the Fine Arts Museum and the palaces Schoenbrunn and Belevedere. There are lots of great clubs and discos for dancing the night away.

Direction

from WESTBAHNHOF: (renovations in process) just 3-4 min walk! Exit from the trains to the right, down the stairs and out to the right to the street. Turn left (Gerstnerstrasse) and walk down to main street- the Mariahilferstrasse. Turn right on main street. Walk 1 minute and take the 1st left at the light onto Haidmannsgasse (SATO Restaurant on the corner). Take the first right onto Robert Hamerlinggasse. House # 24 is just down on the right! Welcome!!!

SÜD BAHNHOF: Take Tram 18 to direction BURGGASSE and get off at station MARIAHILFERGÜRTEL (one stop before Westbahnhof) On the left hand side there is a huge, domed church and our hostel is one street behind it. Walk up Haidmannsgasse, then left on Robert Hamerlinggasse. We are at #24. Welcome!!!

FRANZ JOSEF'S BAHNHOF: Take Tram 5 or U6 to WEST BAHNHOF

CITY CENTER-STEPHANSPLATZ: Underground U3 to WEST BAHNHOF (Take Exit 'Aeussere Mariahilferstrasse'. When you come up to the Mariahilferstrasse, walk away from Europa Platz away from the City Center. Go to the 2nd light and go left on Haidmannsgasse. (SATO Restaurant is on the corner). Walk down one street and take first right onto Robert Hamerlinggasse. We are House #24 on the right.

AIRPORT: Airport Bus to WEST BAHNHOF every 1/2 hour

(5 AM-11:30 PM):(renovations in process) just 3-4 min walk! Exit from the trains to the right, down the stairs and out to the right to the street. BY CAR:

Coming from the West Autobahn (A1): follow the signs to the city centre until you reach the Schönbrunn Castle (a large beautiful yellow building that will be on your right after an underpass).

Directly opposite the castle turn left, follow the street until the second traffic light and turn right onto Mariahilferstrasse. At house # 151 turn right onto Haidmannsgasse. Robert Hamerlinggasse is the first street down on the right, but because it is a one-way street, you will need to go to the second right and go around the block (right, right, and right again!) Welcome!

Coming from the south, east or north:

Look for signs saying 'Guertel' and follow the directions to the Westbahnhof Station. From there, drive the Mariahilferstrasse away from the City Center and follow the above directions.
