We are an ecological farm, 30 minutes from the city centre. We are an intentional community of eco-minded travellers working on our organic farm and other sustainable projects.

We have solar showers, outdoor fire bath, chickens, compost systems, a bicycle powered washing machine and beautiful gardens full of organic fruits and vegetables.

We run workshops – breadmaking, building and creating with recycling materials, organic gardening. You are welcome to join our workshops and learn more about ecological projects and lifestyles.

We have only a small amount of beds to receive and welcome paying guests; everyone else is working or volunteering here and you will be warmly welcomed into our community of ecological minded travellers.

Dinner and breakfast each day is included for you free. Each day we share a big meal together and it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet everyone. Most nights we also light a campfire and share stories, experiences, great conversations and music. We cultivate a peaceful environment where the focus is on learning and sharing.

You are very welcome to join in and spend time in the organic garden, learning with the garden team, or making delicious food with the chef in the kitchen – but the choice is yours – the gardens are also beautiful for relaxing, doing yoga or reading if that’s what you need.

We have a large library full of books about organic gardening, composting, urban sustainable living and we regularly hold movie nights with an environmental or social focus. We also run skill sharing sessions, and if you have a skill you would like to share with everyone else we would love for you to show us – perhaps you can teach us yoga, or jewellery making, how to play the guitar or salsa – we would love to learn.

Our 2 hectare farm is right next to the Waitakere Ranges National Park, with many beautiful hiking options and Piha Surf Beach is only 20 minutes away. In fact we are closer to the national park and the beach than we are to the city centre – and we really appreciate that! Our life is busy with gardens, trees and birds and we are not busy with concrete, buildings and traffic.

We are all travellers living here, most on working holiday visas and a lot of our volunteers are part of the wwoofing program. We love that we intentionally create a beautiful community and a travellers home where we value organic farming, ecological & sustainable lifestyles, sharing resources, learning, peaceful environment, community living and friendship.
