Backstay Hostel Ghent is situated in the former editorial office of a local newspaper.

Dorms go from 2 persons up to 15 and prices vary between €18.5 and €34 per person, per night. Rates vary depending on room type, season and weekday or weekend.

Please bear in mind that the city of Ghent charges everyone who is staying in a hostel/hotel a tourist tax of €2.50 per person, per night. You can pay this amount at our reception desk.

We have a cosy travel corner and a bar open for everyone. You won't hear the typesetters of yesteryear anymore, although this is becoming the beating heart where travellers, Ghent residents and students will meet each other. Daydream with a good book, have traditionally ground coffee with your newspaper, or just stay overnight in our hostel.
