Absoloot Hostel Queenstown opened in June 2010 with a variety of accommodation options for the backpacker, flashpacker and value-seeking traveler! AVA has an outlook second-to-none and four stories worth of character and comfort.


Accommodation
Double room (superior): fitted with one queen bed

Double room: fitted with one double bed.

Four bed shared dorm: fitted with one duo-bunk and one single bunk.

Six bed shared dorm: fitted with three single bunks.

Each room has been fitted with double glazing and shutters to keep the heat in and the noise out. And there's a heat pump/reverse-cycle air-conditioner in every room, so you can stay warm in winter and cool in summer.


Services and activities
Absoloot Hostel Queenstown has been designed with the backpacker, ‘flash packer’ and value-seeking traveller in mind. AVA is boutique backpackers in that we only have four and six bed dorms, and we have a maximum occupancy of 112. We provide free linen and towels for all guests, and every bathroom includes hair and body wash for everyone's use.

The guest TV and games room has an awesome view over Lake Wakatipu and bi-fold windows so it can get those summer breezes through.

Surroundings
Absoloot Hostel Queenstown is situated right next door to Earnslaw Park in the centre of town, so everything is nearby! There's a chocolate shop underneath us, and pubs 30 seconds walk all around. We're on the Wakatipu lakefront, so we have amazing views on every level, and you can check out all of the action that takes place on the water. Awesome for WinterFest and New Year's!
