The Jackaroo Hostel is a family run hostel. Owned and operated by best friends and brothers Robert and Jade, and their little sister Raquel. Our convenient location makes seeing the world-famous sights of Sydney very easy. It's just a scenic 20-minute walk to Sydney Harbour or a five-minute train ride to Bondi Beach, making the Jackaroo Hostel the perfect place to spend your stay in Sydney.

Our rooms feature air conditioning/heating in every room, clean fresh linen, daily cleaning and free Wi-Fi. We have double rooms, twin rooms with ensuite, and four and six bed dorms with private ensuite. There's multiple, spacious, shared bathrooms on every floor.

General hostel facilities include our free welcome pack, free maps, flyers and vouchers for local attractions, 24hr hot showers, a number of large common rooms, a separate TV room, laundry facilities, surfboard hire, bike hire and our large, sunny rooftop terrace with sun loungers and a large BBQ area. We also have a large selection of DVDs, a free pool table, free foosball table and a book exchange, plus free Internet and free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Guests can use our large self-catering commercial kitchen, with fridges, microwave, toaster and a big communal dining area. Don't forget our free Continental Breakfast!

World-renowned for our beautiful beaches and chilled-out lifestyle, Sydney has more to offer than you could ever expect, with Sydney Harbour Bridge (and Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb), Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach (Walk From Bondi Beach To Coogee Beach), Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium and Oceanworld at Manly, Sydney Wildlife Park, AMP Sydney Tower and Skywalk, Open Air Cinema (and Moonlight Cinema), Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens, Ferry from Circular Quay, Sydney Harbour To Manly, Hunter Valley and the Blue Mountains.

Now, if you do manage to visit all these wonderful sites, don't worry because there's still plenty more to see. All you have to do is ask either Robert, Jade or Raquel and they'll happily help you out. And, if you're lucky, they might even let you in on a few local secrets. :)

We understand that the Jackaroo Hostel will be the centre of your Sydney experience and we want it to be memorable. We love Sydney and we want you to love it, too. That's why we'll go out of our way to help you with anything we can. We can help organise all the usual must-see tourist attractions like Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, Taronga Zoo or the Blue Mountains, and when you're done with all the hustle and bustle, we can show you the Sydney that we know. Maybe get out of the city for a hike, go climbing or maybe do some camping. We can also show you where to eat, drink, party or just relax with some friends.

We do this because we absolutely love it. We love to see the smile on our guests' faces when they return for the day. We're proud to offer all our guests a pleasant stay in a welcoming, friendly and comfortable environment.

Our safe, clean hostel has helpful, friendly staff, security lockers and no lockout.

For a fun and memorable stay in Sydney, check out The Jackaroo Hostel in Kings Cross. You'll love it!

We hope to see you soon,
Robert, Jade and Raquel
